The early beginning of Tinabyonan National High School was way back 1997 when President Fidel V. Ramos authored the Presidential Decree which is the opening of secondary schools in far flung barangays. The school officially started last September 01, 1997.
The Tinabyonan National High School was created in the year 1997 through the effort of the late Mr. Salomeo A. Branzuela. The school was named Fidel Valdez Ramos High School, and started out with first year class having two (2) teachers, Mr. Teofanes P.Durias and Mrs. Elizabeth T. Rojo. This was housed in the extra room of the elementary school building. In the following month, September 1997 Mrs. Lolita R. Butaya from Ceferino Sususco Memorial National High School was transferred as the designated School Head. The following year classes were transferred at the old barangay chapel.
In the year 2001, classes were transferred to its own school site with one (1) school building consisting two (2) classrooms and four (4) teachers. The school become a separate entity and acquired its present name which is the Tinabyonan NHS. The school site was donated by Mrs. Sixta Vda de Areja. The school produced its first graduates in 2001 having twenty one (21) males and eleven females a total of thirty two (32) pioneering graduates.
At present the school has sixteen (16) teachers under the supervisory of Mr. Luis D. Papas as of June 2018 that was swap with the late Mr. Roy P. Jamero the former school head.
